Alto Saxophonist Robert DePalma, or “Bobby,” as we call him, lives in Manchester, CT. He has played within the Hartford Jazz Orchestra since 1982! His formal education included studies at the Julius Hartt School of Music and the Hartford Conservatory. He also took lessons with jazz greats Dave Leibman and Pepper Adams. Bob teaches concert band and jazz band (among other classes) at CREC Middle School in Bloomfield, CT. Unsurprisingly, his favorite saxophonists are Bird, Trane, Sonny and Pepper. Bob is a true dog lover. Most recently, he had a Sheltie named KoKo.
